Seagreen Wind Farm (2020)

Fabtech delivers offshore structures to Seagreen Wind Farm

Fabtech is proud to have successfully delivered offshore structures that form an integral part of the jackets supporting wind turbines in the North Sea. This achievement marks another milestone in our commitment to advancing offshore renewable energy solutions through high-quality manufacturing.

The Seagreen Wind Farm, Scotland’s largest offshore wind project, is located approximately 27km off the coast of Angus and has a total capacity of 1,075MW. It also holds the record for the world’s deepest fixed-bottom foundations, demonstrating the scale and technical complexity of the development.

Fabtech’s scope of work focused on the fabrication of boat landing structures, which are critical components of the wind turbine jackets. These structures play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient access for maintenance and operational crews, allowing them to carry out essential inspections and servicing work in a demanding offshore environment.
